Land Marks is a video work consisting of twenty-four drawings. Twelve drawings are of the number twenty-seven and the other twelve of the number seventy-two. These are mirrored or reversible numbers. The sequence of drawings occurs thrice. Therefore there are seventy-two numbered drawings, followed by abstracted images which conclude the video.
The drawings initiate with primary colours but then image processing permits the emergence of other colours. Throughout the video there is music which might suggest a particular vein of minimalist composition.
I am now seventy-two and I remember some events of being twenty-seven. Perhaps twenty-seven and seventy-two are landmark years for other people?
