A love story. A liberation story. A story of queer resistance and how building community can transform us.
Explore the ephemeral legacy of Vancouver’s historic Little Sister’s Book and Art Emporium. Before the internet, we relied on printed materials and a central gathering place. How do we create a deep personal connection with relative strangers?
Through dialogue.
The directors got their queer back by grappling with the constant changes inherent in life.
While Aerlyn Weissman deals with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, making her last film as a director, Lorna Boschman explores ideas about queerness while ageing. Rojina Farrokhnejad’s two-spirit partner Carolynn Dimmer recalls how Little Sister’s introduced her to gender studies and a queer softball league.
In this heartwarming short, featuring lively animation by Rojina Farrokhnejad, two-spirit, trans and living with dementia perspectives combine as journeys to ourselves.
