Street: Winter

TAPECODE 006.32

This tape is a lighthearted documentation of a snowstorm in my neighbourhood in Hamilton, Ontario. It is also an examination of the relationship between visual and aural rhythms. The tape recreates the scenes of street activity using electronically manipulated imagery. It was produced live to tape, as the snow fell. We see people shovelling snow and shaking their heads as the snow continues to fall. We see a bus slowed to a stop, children laughing, and a passersby pushing cars out of snowbanks as the snow gets deeper and deeper. Eventually the activity ceases.
