The Bounty of The Earth

1986, 12:00 minutes, colour, English & French quotations

TAPECODE 9897

In The Bounty of the Earth, fruit signifies the exotic, the unconscious, art and nature. An interwoven text of music, image and works recounts the fate of a piece of fruit as it becomes a commodity to be bought, sold and consumed. However, before it is finally eaten, it resumes it symbolic function as art, manifested in a still life. The original music for this tape was composed by Sylvaine Martin and Serge Montreuil.

Dans
The Bounty of the Earth, le fruit représente l'exotisme, l'inconscient, l'art et la nature.
