What do mothers expect when they save their wedding dresses for their daughters? This Ritual Of A Wedding Dress is the culmination of cultural predispositions installed throughout girlhood and adolescence. The expected path of life becomes a hypnotic drill exercise: recalled by the unconscious it is haunting, following and demanding. A young woman confronts her mother's wedding dress and finds that it doesn't fit. By analogy, neither do the values it implies. A struggle ensues, identity and freedom is questioned.
