Angels is a subjective documentary about the Chicago Chapter of the Guardian Angels. Shot over the period of a month in inner Chicago in 1989, this video follows the Angels as a group and as individuals. The angels give an account of how and why they organize themselves as an unsolicited security force on the Chicago subway system and how they patrol neighbourhoods. The viewer joins an afternoon training session, an evening patrol, and a coffee break at McDonalds.
