Production Notes: Fast Food For Thought deconstructs seven television commercials via their own production notes in the form of memos sent from the agency to the production company prior to filming. These memos describe the hopes, desires and strategies of the ads, revealing the high degree of ideological intentionality in the make up of Macdonalds, Pepsi, Mars Bars etc. The task of advertisers may then be held up to critical scrutiny by us, the targeted but not hit, recipients of these peculiar and sometimes insidious messages.
