Samantha, a wandering bicyclist peddles through the lower east side of New York and witnesses numerous violent suspicious events. She returns home unimpressed and indifferent. Her noisy apartment drives her back onto the streets only to become more entangled in "problem events". At the end of the day she is given an envelope which reveals that all she has seen is a set-up in order to induce paranoia. Her response is "I'll stay indifferent and survive."
