'Gospel Magic' is an excerpt from a family reunion tape on the Dyrud relatives (my mother's side of the family) that took place at a converted military compound in Wisconsin one summer in the early 80's that had been taken over by the Lutheran church. A fair percentage of this family were Lutheran ministers and this tape is of a performance by a part time minister who was a farmer and councilman in a small community in Minnesota. He delivers a performance on subjects such as 'Big Sins and Little Sins', 'Compromise' and Big and Little Lies' and other message related magic tricks to a group of children in the main dining room of the compound.
