TAPECODE 286.00
This documentary explores the feminization of poverty in rural India by focussing on the struggle of women agriculture workers to provide for their families' subsistence. In an impressionistic yet striking manner the tape weaves a tapestry of images of women at work, testimonies, songs and written text while questioning the existing approaches which have limited and even excluded these women from their purview.
