My Own Protection
1991, 12:00 minutes, colour, English
The artist documents the relationship between herself and a neighbour, a young man dying of AIDS, and in the process of doing so comes face to face with her own fears, lack of information and media perpetuated myths about the virus. My Own Protection is an interesting combination of documentary and experimental footage, it is entirely subjective and has a feeling of personal revelation that is hopeful.
