Broken Crowns is a post-modern retelling of the Jack and Jill nursery rhyme. Jack is a chemist obsessed with the Periodic Table. His sister, Jill is writing a Freudian analysis of the Jack and Jill rhyme for her PhD dissertation in child psychology. Jack's girlfriend, also named Jill, is a photographer fascinated with JFK conspiracy theories. His best friend, David, falls in love with Jack's girlfriend as Jack begins to disappear from photographs taken by his sister on their trip to Bardon Hill in England.
Chemistry, castration anxiety, conspiracy theory and coincidence combine in this finely - wrought experimental narrative.
