The Fourth Evidence Is The Complete Absence Of Mercy

Dimitrije Martinovic and Christian Morrison

1984, 27:00 minutes, colour, English

TAPECODE 820.00

The tape is loosely based on the writings of French thinker and religious ecstatic Simone Weil, who postulates a theory of earthly suffering in the attainment of a state of grace. The narrative, comprised of found texts, is a study of the distance that exists between the situation and its protagonist(s). Four stories are presented as evidences in which the desire for fulfillment dominates the lives of the individuals concerned.
