Over thirty thousand women were at the 1995 NGO forum in Beijing / Huairou...that means there are at least thirty thousand stories to be told. Mine is one of them....I cannot... see the world through women's eyes (United Nations theme for Beijing) ... The beholder is me. This video includes the Land and the People of China (I travelled seventy-two hours by train from South to North in order to reach Beijing. I also travelled East to West down the 684 kilometres of the Yangtze River known as the legendary Three Gorges, that is soon to be flooded for a hydro dam already under construction). It is in this context that I situate my reflections one Women's gathering in Beijing. Join me in this journey...through one woman's eyes.
