This documentary by Georgia visual artist, Gregor Turk, focuses on the history and idiosyncratic nature of the 1,270-mile section of the US / Canadian border formed by the 49th parallel. Traveling by foot and bicycle, Turk encounter a variety of people affected by the border: Native Americans, government officials, farmers, along with many others. This travelogue reveals the diverse consequences of an abstract line drawn on a map.
