In 1986, myself, Catherine Meen and Phillipe Bezy created "Staying Alive", a two hour scrolling text video (simply white text on blue) of research, stories, tales, news clips, testimonials, etc., regarding AIDS. Seven years later, the stories are the same, the attitudes and suspicions still there, beautiful people are still dying. This video incorporates "Staying Alive", which has been completely resynthesized and overlaid with various computer effects and imagery and with a heartbeat-like audio added.
