Hybrid Creatures is a series of 7 short character sketches. Each character is rendered as if in a tableau. The characters never interact with each other. They exist in a very private space. As the stories unfold, we find that each character is in a strange predicament or a bizarre scenario. Each "Creature" has adapted to their environment in a personal way. We aren't sure why they do the things they do. What we're left with are after-images, glimpses of lives we know nothing about.
"I've used family and friends as the principal players. I've taken their names and used them as subheadings that serve to separate one character from the other. Their stories are part truth and part fiction, woven together to create a type of tragedy on a personal level." -Y.S.
