An interactive CD ROM adventure through Dante's Inferno. Pick one of the seven deadly sins and journey down a path to hell, limbo and paradise. But hell is a day in the life of a Lesbian Feminist making her way through the everyday, Limbo is a Bar filled with women an Paradise has Angels on motorcycles.
The CD ROM is also exhibited in an installation called "Would you rather be a cyborg"/
The opening is a desert wasteland, the sound of wind. At the bottom of the screen are seven numbered tiles. By moving the cursor over the tile it reveals the name of one of the "seven deadly sins" click on the tile, it bursts into flame and the viewer ventures down one of the paths through hell, limbo and onto paradise.
The installation includes the CD ROM at a station, video and slide projections of women using telephones and typewriters, text, an old typewriter and telephone. Most of the images are historical and call into question our idea that this technology is new and never in the hands of women.
