Beauty Becomes The Beast

1985, 10:00 minutes, colour

TAPECODE 9398

Drawing on familiar myths, Schouten tells the story of a woman who abandons the rational course of the brain in favour of the intuitive path of nature. Suddenly sprouting a tail, she no longer feels at home in the existing world and goes looking for other life forms and creatures. On her way she meets sirens and mermaids who, by their love for human legs, lure her to the depths of their underwater caves.
