'all sales final' OUT OF DISTRIBUTION

‘All Sales Final’ centres around the cult of the sale and how it applies, rather, how it appeals, to the melodramatic imagination. A sale is always about the dramatics of the savings available to the consumer, and the spectacle created around those savings. If a department store finally does go out of business, the intensity of the sale ultimately devolves into a frenzied idolization of cheap and broken ‘goods’.

‘All Sales Final’ incorporates the family drama of the last days of Eaton’s Department Stores, with a clamour for some bargain basement glamour. As the store is gutted and transformed into a mausoleum for lost garbage, all the gruesome details are encapsulated in this ode to trash. No broken earring or vinyl handbag is left unturned.
