Drive Thru Culture: a speedy and prominent service in our daily lives. The process of purchasing food, money, and mechanical car washes all through a correct combination of numbers, menu boards stuck in gardens, flashing arrows, and the courteous sign offs (thank you come again).
Combinations to aid the consumer make hasty decisions that seem convenient, but an experience that can also be overwhelmingly isolating.
Recently on the radio, I overheard that a woman in New Brunswick added a drive-thru to her flower shop. Across America they have drive thru funeral chapels, restaurants and convenience stores.
Recording Drive Thru Delights against the cold northern background of Sudbury, it occurred to me that Drive Thru's are uniquely North American and like many other exports of our global economy they are surfacing everywhere.
