Golfers, a Belgian baron, the Mohawks and the Sulpicians throw the ball back at one another over some land title deeds. Videotaped just prior to the events of summer, 1990, this work relives the history of the Mohawks in Kanehsatake as they themselves perceive it , from the coming of the white man to today's situation. It also deals with violent confrontations involving the Sulpician religious community. Essential for understanding the Oka crisis in its historical context.
