1. 10 Mandalas 2005
Boreal Art/Nature Center, La Minerve, Quebec, Canada; Length: 8.07 min.; Performance: July –August, 2003; Edited: 2005. The work was created during a three week residency
at Boreal Art/Nature Centre.
Influenced by the presence of the Tibetan monk/artist (Losang Samten) who created a traditional sand mandala during the residency, the artist worked at different sites on the property- in the woods, river, fields, garden, etc.- to create her own temporary mandala forms, using the materials directly available at each site. The sketches and notes made for each work are included in the video piece. The final 'walking mandala' was created as an extended activity which concluded as a live performance at the final event of the residency.

2.
Intimate Investigations 2004
Vancouver, Canada; Length: 8.22; Performance: November 2003; First edited by Western Front staff for presentation with live performance 2003; Final Edit 2004; Camera: Wendy Rubin
The artist spent 6 days exploring and playing at different sites around Vancouver, alternating between the natural and the built, the magnificent and the mundane (wild beaches, forests, back lanes, empty lots, city park, etc.)
At the conclusion of the site performances, the video documentation was shown along with a live performance and installation using the materials gathered, at The Western Front.
Performed as part of the Western Front’s Contemporary Ritual Series, and of
the LIVE Biennial of Performance Art in Vancouver. The project is included in the anthology book, Ritual in Contemporary Performance, by the curator of the series, Victoria Singh (available through the Western Front).
