To Tell Your Daughter

1990, 12:00 minutes

TAPECODE 9601

Originally shot in 8mm, this video is a respectful and forthright statement by two women acknowledging the inevitable and divergent effects of their mothers' substance abuse on their adult self-identities. At the same time, the video portrays the mothers - conditioned by widely differing class and social experiences - struggling against their addictions and towards communication with their daughters.
