No Regret

1994, 40:00 minutes, English

TAPECODE 9790

In No Regret, Marlon Riggs lays down a challenge to the black community and our society in general: "Change the way we think about AIDS and about Black people with AIDS." Through quiet, articulate, sometimes defiant testimony, five gay men of different ages and backgrounds talk about living with AIDS. The common thread in all their stories is the frank and moving ways in which Riggs structures their words.
At first their faces are hidden, defined only by gestures of hands and eyes, but suddenly the whole person bursts out of the frame - asking viewers to consider the whole story.
