Grandma Smokes For Jesus' Love, Erika MacPherson is engaged in a dialogue with the stories of her Grandma. A woman living in Grandma's era had severe limitations placed on her identity, so severe in this case as to cause insanity. The idea that all women are constricted by limitations imposed externally is portrayed by stories intertwined with letter correspondence, myth and song creating an alternate identity for both grandmother and granddaughter.
