Kerry Potts

Kerry Potts (Teme-Augama Anishnaabe) is a first-time filmmaker who currently lives in Toronto. She has an MA in Sociology and Equity Studies from OISE/UofT and completed her thesis on Aboriginal music as an anti-colonial tool. Kerry has received accolades for her work in the Aboriginal Studies Department of U of T, and has taught at Humber and Seneca Colleges. Kerry has worked extensively in the Aboriginal social services and arts sectors for the past ten years, as Assistant Manager to Juno Award winning singer-songwriter Susan Aglukark, and as Associate Producer at Native Women in the Arts. Kerry currently works as Director of Development at the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, and sits on the boards of the Images Festival and Native Women in the Arts.
