Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

Consent

By using our website (vtape.org), the user agrees that they consent to the conditions set out in this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Cookies

Vtape’s website does not currently use any cookies.

Personally Identifying Information

Vtape does not collect any personally identifying information from users of our website (except as provided voluntarily by the user through our Media Request Form; see below), so we cannot share, sell, or lose such information. It has never been part of Vtape’s operations or business model to collect personal information, or to share it with or sell it to any third party.

Media Request Form

Information collected from users via our Media Request Form is stored securely onsite and is used only for direct Vtape-to-client communications or for communications between employees of Vtape. No client information is shared with or sold to any third party.

The only exception to this policy would be: 1) if the law requires it; 2) If it is required for any legal proceeding; and/or 3) to prove and protect our legal rights.

The legal basis for Vtape to collect and process client information via the Media Request Form is that you have provided your implicit consent to the process by voluntarily supplying this information to us through the use of the form. If you withdraw your consent for us to store that information at some later date, it will not make the use of it which was completed before such consent was withdrawn unlawful, so long as it conforms with the uses laid out in this policy.

Third Parties & Use of Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilizes data collected to track and examine the use of this website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Information collected from our website is restricted to basic aggregate data such as number of page visits and geographical place of origin information; no personally identifying information is collected.

Do Not Track Notice

Do Not Track (DNT) is a privacy preference that you can set in certain web browsers. We do not track the users of our site over time and across third-party websites, and therefore do not respond to browser-initiated DNT signals.
