Jon Higgins is an independent filmmaker. In 2005, he won the best documentary award at the University of Western Ontario’s Film Festival and, as a result, had his film premiere at that year’s London International Film Festival. In 2008, he was the recipient of the National Film Board of Canada’s Filmmaker Assistance Program grant. In 2011, he won a scholarship for a narrative feature-length screenplay.
