Hayden Currie
Hayden began his career in film in 2005. During film school he volunteered on set as a production assistant while producing/directing his own projects on the side.
Hayden became a Production Manager on an independent feature film titled Pinkville in 2006 and then a music video director quickly thereafter, with videos showcasing on BET, Much Music and MTV. Recently, he was involved in filming a short (In Time) comprised of video footage from music tours of The Weeknd and XO. He also creates long format, directing national tv shows such as Food Factory USA, Ryan Long is Challenged, Crown the Town as well as a variety of other projects. Recently Hayden Co Directed a Short film titled "Platform" that has been in over 7 film festivals including The Toronto Short Film Festival.
Currently, Hayden is writing a variety of feature films and directing commercials for the likes of Pepsi, NHL, Lexus, Jack Links and Marvel.
Hayden’s creative, self-deprecating style is often involved comedic observations within his social and professional circle.
Hayden self-financed his first feature film in which he wrote, co-directed, starred and produced titled “The Film Student Movie” (available on Apple Movies). This satirical, biopic is one of many films he hopes to write & produce.
Having many friends in the arts & entertainment industry inspires Hayden to create short vignettes ranging from interviews to “the life and day of” his subjects. Often uncomfortably funny, with a dry humour that is uniquely his own style. He is an expert in incorporating these comedic nuances into his work which keeps the audience engaged and wanting more.
