Paula Gignac, lead director of Excess Is What I Came For, is a writer, artist, and award-winning photographer. In addition to making films, she acted in Candy Pauker's (unreleased) Girls In The Band, where she played Jude (the pill-popping, anorexic nurse). She's been published in magazines as diverse as Fuse and Flare, and her installation piece, Glove, was featured in Game Girls for the InterAccess Electronic Media Arts Centre. She's won Kodak and Studio Magazine awards for her photography and was the premier recipient of Ryerson Polytechnical's Onnig Cavoukian Memorial Scholarship For Highest Standing In Photography. She maintains a busy writing, consulting and design career to this day.
