Kevin d'Souza
Kevin D*Souza is a Canadian prairie boy (via Pakistan), activist-organizer and writer.
When Kevin came out in 1993, he joined with a strong group of queers of colour to form Of Colour a collective working and educating against racism and homophobia in the straight and lesbian/gay communities of Calgary.
Kevin worked with Minquon Panchayat and EM Media in 1993 to produce It's a Cultural Thing, as well he participated in Minquon's The Doors project at Truck Gallery in 1994. Along with much curating, writing, video production, and workshopping against racism in the vitriolic province of Alberta, Kevin worked with Of Colour to produce Calgary's first queer video and film festival The Fire I've Become (Glenbow Museum, 1995).
