Daniel Brooks
Daniel Brooks is one of Canada's finest and most innovative theatre directors. He has won countless awards in his collaborations with Daniel MacIvor (Monster, Here Lies Henry, House); Guillermo Verdecchia (Insomnia, The Noam Chomsky Lectures); Don McKellar and Tracy Wright (86, Red Tape). Recently he directed the critically acclaimed productions of Wallace Shawn's THE DESIGNATED MOURNER and John Mighton's POSSIBLE WORLDS.
His plays have inspired a number of films (Laurie Lynd's HOUSE and Bruce MacDonald's HIGHWAY 61). He co-wrote a screen play with Atom Egoyan and Bruce MacDonald for an early MacDonald film, KNOCK! KNOCK!. He is currently planning production of his own twenty minute dramatic film, LULLABY.
