Chris Kennedy is an independent filmmaker, programmer and writer. He programmed for the Images Festival (2003-06) and Pleasure Dome (2000-06) and co-founded the screening series SFAI Film Salon (2006- ) and Early Monthly Segments (2009- ) . His short experimental films have screened at over one hundred film festivals worldwide and he has presented curated film programs in Egypt, Belgium, Germany, the US and Canada. His work has been the subject of solo spotlights at the Canadian Film Institute (Ottawa), the Pacific Film Archive (Berkeley, CA), the Los Angeles Film Forum and the Nam June Paik Art Center (Gyeongi-do, South Korea). He holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. His 16mm films are distributed by CFMDC (www.cfmdc.org).
