Celebrating Intimacy

This article discusses Schneeman's videoworks, which construct aquatic environments in an attempt to which strikes a familiar note with the human body's kinesthetic awarenss. The use of water imagery is deliberately used by Schneeman as a way to free her viewers from the limitations imposed by the human body. She attempts to create a simulation of the motion and space found in the aquatic human womb.
