Nell Tenhaaf describes her hypermedia project, Neonudism, which explores the Internet's promises for new sexual adventure. Using CUSeeMe, a live two-way amateur porn / erotic video site, Tenhaaf transforms amateur porn participants into art nudes, thereby blurring the distinction between experience & art, nudity & sexuality. This work also addresses what Tenhaaf sees as the paradox of cyberspace: immersion in cyberspace results in a loss of self and an enhancement of self, something akin to an sex experience.
