Why a gay and lesbian film festival?: Some see queer film festivals as increasingly redundant
Mirror, Nov. 11, 1993, p. 22
Through this article, the author analyses whether there is a need for a gay and lesbian film festival. The argument is presented not as one of homophobia, but rather of fear of over classification. The article poses the question as to whether festivals like the Image and Nation Festival are separating gay and lesbian video from the mainstream.
