This essay precludes an exhibition catalogue for 25hrs; a screening that took place in Barcelona, Spain which showed 330 video works by 250 International Artists. Manuel Saiz's essay is an overview of Video Art through it's technological evolution, relationship to the Artist as an extension of previous mediums, and changing subject matter. The essay also examines how video is becoming and was incorporated into the contemporary scheme of Art practices, exhibitions, funding, and distribution.
