The video Bodies In Trouble by Marusia Bociurkiw is the story of a lesbian love relationship that deals with essentially two interconnected themes. The (in)visibility of lesbians in our culture and the aggression of state forces and ordinary citizens in threatening and containing visible lesbians. She tackles and emphasizes the necessarily political consequences of lesbian relationships and the harrassment, threats and oppression experienced. The piece draws attention to the on-going development of lesbian identity and the pros and cons of visibility within the current Western culture.
