Vinita Ramani and Julien Samuel discuss Samuel's Save and Burn (224; 80:34mins). Samuel's work discusses the use of the library as a embodiments of democracy and civilsation in the West.; and interviews notable library historians from several universities. Samuel finishes his work showing the various destruction of libraries in occupied Palestine and Iraq. The work recounts the libraries beginnings in ancient Sumeria and ends in the continuing conflicts of the middle east. Julien concludes that libraries produce a 'knowledge of how to be democratic at home and export terror abroad.'
