Raster Masters: Review of Video Art: A History

by Lucinda Furlong

Afterimage, Mar. 1984, v. 11, no. 8, p. 17

A critical review of curator Barbara London's MOMA exhibition Video Art: A History. An exhibition in two parts. The first presents video history without video, only text and stills, the second a series of daily screenings. The author is critical of both areas, saying that the first part was too boring and the second part left out too many key pieces of video work. Not at all a positive review, Furlong raises many problems with the exhibition.
