There is a necessity to promote and teach video in art schools (as Lisa and Kim both do), and there is a wealth of emergent video art that can be found at distribution centres like Vtape or Videograph. Video art is discussed as a medium that allows for a general media literacy (regarding the role of the audience) and as a choice medium for minority groups.
