Fuse, Spring 1990, v. 13, no. 4, pp. 10-12
This article discusses the success of and topics presented at Images and Nation II:The Montreal International Festival of Gay and Lesbian Cinema and Video in 1990. The festival included debates and questions around the representations of gays and lesbians of colour. Topics of gender and race were discussed by a panel including Midid Onodera, Isaac Julien, Richard Fung, and Michelle Parkerson. The article points out the major difficulty in the event; the limitations of language. Shoddy translators made the language barrier all too apparent, and hampered the discussions and speeches.
