He goes on to consider the contrasting nature of the work contributed to the conference's parallel cultural festival, SIDART, focusing on discussion of various AIDS-related work by Canadian artists, which opposes the biases, stereotypes, and "myth of the general public" often found in more propagandistic, profit-driven AIDS awareness video and film.
