An exhibition review of Gillian Wearing's first solo show in New York at Jay Gorney. The show focused on themes of childhood and the main event was the video "10-16" which features middle-aged men and women lip-synching the tape recorded testimonies of young boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 16. The monologues are disturbing and awkward and evoke various interpretations.
