Life at sea: Ho Tam unmoors our preconceptions

by Daryl Vocat

Xtra!, Nov. 23, 2006, no. 576, p. 27

The show Romances at Paul Petro by Ho Tam, featuring painted portraits, a video and photographs, is an examination of identity, both as an individual and as part of a group (in this case the military). Instead of voicing an opinion on the navy soldiers that are portrayed, Tam acts as an observer.
