Film and Video: Something to Say
Dialogue: An Art Journal, July 1988, v. 11, no. 4
A discussion of the role and place of film and video art in contemporary, capitalist culture. The author believes that "not all film/video art today moves in the self-confirming postmod circuit...Some artists today clearly express an interest in saying something with the media without reverting to a simple realist easthetics" (Kleinhans) and gives a number of examples of this kind of video art.
