Ghosts of the Nazi past haunt Freud's house: The sense of absence and loss is palpable in an evocative, if inclusive, installation about the Holocaust

by David Jays

Financial Times, Mar. 21, 2003, p. 19

"Body Missing, an installation by Canadian artist Vera Frenkel that teases out the absences surrounding the Nazi campaign of looted artworks, restores impermanence and transience to the substantial museum". Video, found object, photo-collage, documentary footage, and sound assemblage are used in the Installation at Freud's Hampstead house, a site of "exile and loss".
