Montreal Diary
The Globe and Mail, Aug. 15, 2000, p. 2
A commentary on the Montreal World Film Festival's programs. The author believes that recent festival programs were weak, not interesting and not inspiring. However, in his opinion this year's festival has impressive international line-up but still "managed to alienate far too much of the local film community", which results in the fact that most Quebec filmmakers choose to launch their films in Toronto during the Toronto International Film Festival instead of in Montreal.
