True Confessions: Guelph multimedia artist Dawn Matheson calling on community to contribute to her project that will be featured at "Edifying Edifice"
Guelph Mercury, Sept. 12, 2007
Participating in Ed Video's Edifying Edifice, 2007 multimedia festival in Guelph ON, Dawn Matheson's Confession Ally is an installation of anonymous confessions, played continuously in an allyway in Guelph's downtown. Originating from an incident 10 years prior, Matheson overheard a confession-like conversation late at night, and contests that hearing it made her feel better about her own personal problems. She hopes the same for her participants. The installation, which bridges public and private, is one of 10 installtions included in the festival curated by Scott McGovern.
